You are not wrong about Joe Lieberman, he had a house in a walled and gated community one block from Georgetown University Hospital, affectionately called The Compound. My wife’s best friend worked for a neighbor of Lieberman’s for several decades. One day my wife was visiting her friend and Mr. Lieberman came walking by and stoped and talked to my wife and her friend for nearly half an hour. When she told me she talked to him for such a long time it was a surprise because my wife and her friend are nobody’s in DC and Mr Lieberman was a somebody. Supports Christopher’s point that he appreciated meeting people and we are all at a loss that todays politicians do not have time for anyone that can not benefit them or write a big check. He was unique in that regard and it is a lose that there are not more like him.
