Kenyan nerds traumatized by smart glass users’ naked shenanigans

Meta’s AI glasses are recording users using the bathroom, having sex and watching porn — and then having Kenyan contractors watch it all for AI training, according to a March 4 class action lawsuit and investigations by two Swedish newspapers.

Apparently if you are using the glasses and put them down without turning them off they keep right on recording: while you change your clothes; while you use the bathroom; while you get frisky.

The Kenyans are, understandably, traumatized, and talking to the press.

The users are not much happier. Meta sold more than 7 million AI glasses with the slogan Designed for privacy, controlled by you.

That’s an oh for two.

And that’s just for the slogan. AI glasses turn out to be yet another AI product where the Artificial Intelligence turns out to be cheap third-world contractors.
