I see a red door
And I want it painted black
No colors anymore
I want them to turn black
The Pentax K-3 III Monochrome has changed the way I look at digital photography. I have very little interest in standard colour digicams these days, outside of snapshots. So when I heard about the 2016 Huawei P9 with its Leica Monochrome Sensor, and that you could still pick one up new, I jumped right in and picked one up. Last week I posted a video overview of the P9; here are some photos for a closer look. The video — linked below — showed pretty images straight out of the camera. Here are some I worked in PhotoShop. You can get a lot out of these files.

Sunday June 22 — The Dogs of War Roam the Highways; Shipping Containers are the 21st Century Aircraft Carriers: How many 18-wheelers are pulling trailers within 100 miles of you right now? There are approximately 35 million of those standard containers loaded on ships or trains, or pulled by trucks in the United States, and perhaps 100 million worldwide.
What if 5 are carrying attack drones?
This is no science fiction tale. It’s what the Ukranians just did in Russia. It’s what the Israelis just did in Iran.
There are 5 shipping containers loaded with deadly attack drones. How can you find them?
This makes me wish I understood how to take a decent photo. Alas, I do not. But I can see the appeal!
