I’ve been putting together a system to scan the Tri-X film from my photojournalism days with the Pentax K-3 III Monochrome. I was using my old Pentax-M 100mm F4 Macro, but that only does 1:2, meaning objects can only be magnified to half-life size. So I decided to upgrade that to the Pentax-D FA 50mm F2.8 Macro, which handles 1:1.

So of course when it arrived I took it for a walk and pointed it at trees… These are JPGs straight out of the camera.

Sunday March 24th — About that time I accidentally ended up on TV. Repeatedly. I well know that I have a face for radio. Despite that I’ve somehow ended up on television in everything from a Japanese miniseries to working as a TV reporter to a Pacific Stars & Stripes documentary.
